About

I’m a native German theatre artist living between West Yorkshire and Berlin. My performance work spans a range of theatre forms including devised physical theatre, immersive site-specific theatre, and theatre for young audiences. I’m an associate artist at the Berlin Globe Theatre where I regularly perform Shakespeare and German classics in both German and English languages. In this intercultural setting, the collaborative creative process is particularly important to me. I hope to nurture the artistic dialogue between Germany and the UK by connecting creative practitioners between my two homes.

As a literary translator with a love of dialogue translation, my work includes a series of Netflix and Amazon voice-over scripts, and a number of independent screenplays, as well as subtitling feature films for German broadcasting. My real passion is, unsurprisingly, the translation of theatre texts. As part of my MA thesis I translated Charles Way’s play ‘The Gift’ which is now published in Germany, and my translation of Shakespeare’s ‘Henry V’, commissioned by the Berlin Globe Theatre, is ongoing.

I’m also a voice-over artist (with my own home studio in England), a PhD student at the University of Leeds (researching Transnational Theatre-Making) and the mother of a 8-year-old daughter (who loves football and dragons).
